The Kings Foundation at Highgrove offers two courses which focus on teaching the craft skills of hand weaving. As the tutor, I have created the program to give students the opportunity to use a range of British Wools and Natural Dyed yarns, whilst teaching them the key principles of weaving.
The last 2 day course covered setting up a loom from scratch and learning to weave the most commonly used weave structures. The students were amazing, producing fabrics in their own choice of yarn and colour, on looms they had not ‘met’ before!
