As weave tutor for Highgrove Traditional Crafts I was invited to display the work I do with the students – obviously this had to include a working loom! Woven designs and pieces from my professional practice were included in the display; apart from being admired they were a catalyst for interesting conversations about provenance and sustainability of the British Wools I use.
It was a lovely Christmasy event with carol singers. I enjoyed meeting other tutors, students across all the courses and the invited VIP guests who support, are ambassadors for, or are connected to The Kings Foundation.
Several guests were keen to have a go at weaving, however The King was too busy meeting an entire room of important people.
